Boxing
is not a sport. It is TOTAL fitness -- from the minute you walk
into DEF and feel the vibe and adrenaline rushing through the
body -- to train and work out every muscle and to sweat out
the daily stresses of life. Boxing at DEF = having a good time,
working out, enhancing your well being and physique all packaged
into one. It only took a powerful
cross and an uppercut for me to fall in love with boxing"
DEF is an excellent gym with fantastic facilities and equipment.
The trainers are very proffesional and offer the support and
encouragement that is required to push yourself that little
bit further.
The tailor-made programmes combine fitness with more technical
activities, ensuring a good all-round workout that suits each
individual.
With a choice of individual and group sessions, there is
something here for eveyone from complete beginners to advanced
boxers.

Ali once said, "Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the
sand. I beat people up." At DEF, none of that usually happens,
but it is the greatest place in Hong Kong to exersice, stay
in shape, and keep your mind and body in focus!

DEF boxing is a great place, not just to learn how to f*ck sh*t up but everything about it is chill. The trainers Jay, Stephen and Ralf are mad funny. They act just like kids and enjoy good company. I could not have found a better place to learn how to box.

Having great facilities, the nicest staff (and the coolest shower curtains!) DEF is definitely the best place to work out in town.
The trainers are all very nice but also have a degree of strictness so they push you to the best of your capability. They are able to make boxing much more than just a workout, the seemingly violent sport becomes extremely enjoyable!
The fitness programs combined with boxing at DEF not only improved my co-ordination, it also improved my fitness and endurance, helping me with all my sports not only boxing.
The mixture of fantastic facilities and really friendly staff makes DEF a place that can suit anyone, no matter what age, including a growing teenager like me!

I
finally understand what a complete workout is all about -
boxing.
What sets DEF apart from other gyms is the commitment to the
training, culture and appreciation of boxing. In the six weeks
since joining DEF I have lost weight, gained muscle, and cultivated
a good rapport with the staff.
Along with top class equipment and facilities, trainers Jay,
Stephen, and Ralf are as committed to your workout as you
are, perhaps even more so.
If you are looking for a total mind and body workout, DEF
is the place to be in Hong Kong.

Boxing
is now a popular and trendy sport especially among girls.
So the number of female members in every boxing gym is increasing.
In a group class for novices, the coach may sometimes match
up a guy and a girl for a couple of rounds of situational
sparring. Usually the girl will be instructed to launch a
set of combo and repeat it one by one and the guy will be
asked just to play defence for example by blocking or slipping.
Knowing that the guy is not allowed to hit back the girl may
sometimes just become frantic and start to pummel ferociously
and incessantly as if you were her lousy boyfriend. Listen
guys, if that happens, try this: use you footwork to get out
of range and say to the girl that if you fail to collect yourself,
I will clinch. According to my own personal experience, it
works. The girl will immediately calm down and play by the
coach's instruction with no actual clinching needed.

Choose
life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a sport. Choose
a great gym with the best showers. Choose a good coach but
all coaches here are brilliant. Choose Jay. Choose Steven
or even Ralf. Choose bag punching. Choose speed bag to impress
all the girls. Choose weight training. Choose to look good.
Choose to knock down an opponent with a deadly blow. Choose
sparing. Choose endurance. Choose techniques. Choose to be
fit. Choose to be strong. Choose to be unique. Choose to be
cool. Choose to push your own limits. Choose golf...But why
should I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose
golf. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no
reasons. Who needs reasons when you go to DEF.
